Old panelled doors are perfect to make into mirrors or picture frames. Simply buy an inexpensive full length mirror, measure the size of the panel, cut the mirror to size using a glass cutting tool. Sand and prepare the door before fixing the mirror into the insert using mastic.
For a rustic outdoor table hang your door from a strong tree branch or from the beams of your patio canopy. Drill holes in the corners of the door and then using a thick rope thread this through the holes and make a large knot on the underneath of the door. You can also use a chain and eyelets secured with a bolt for a different look.
Using shelving, bannister rails, hooks and paint you can create a beverage station for outdoor use or inside your home.
If you have a door with multi panels you can create a multi-purpose message board. Each panel can have a different use, paint one section with chalk paint, add cork for a pinning area, and a metal section for magnets.
