Patio and french doors
If you are having a conservatory fitted you would normally like a large opening from the house into the conservatory. You could opt for a Bi-fold door which would certainly do the job over a wide opening span, but there are alternatives. You could choice from either a Patio or french door. French doors in PVCu have long been the favourite lead through from your house to the conservatory but they normally do not go over a certain width.
Here at Prior we have the solution. If you are on a budget and do not want to go to the expense of aluminium Bi-fold doors, what about a French door combination or a two or three pane inline sliding patio door? The French doors combination could be a pair of French doors and one or more matching sidelights. In the case of the inline patio doors, this could mean a two, three or four pane patio. In the case of the latter this would give you the centre two sliding doors moving outwards to the sidelights. This will give a good sized traffic opening and also let in the maximum amount of light.
With regard to security, all of our doors are made to comply with the security standards for exterior doors. If you have no conservatory and these doors lead straight out onto your patio or garden, you can rest assured that they are very secure. Our inline PVCu Premier patio doors have the sliding sash on the inside for the ultimate in security. Both the patio and French doors are fitted with top rated interlocking claws to prevent the doors being lifted or levered apart so security is not an issue.
