GRP entrance portico for your property
GRP entrance portico a great alternative to a porch for your property
Nothing quite changes the look of a property than by adding a portico. Planning a new porch for your home couldn’t be easier if you install our GRP portico. It comes in 2 colour choices, white or brown with the additional choice to have a lead effect top. The portico projects out from the property by around 1 metre. It is available in 3 widths, 2000mm, 2500mm and 3000mm. Customers also are able to have a decorative plaque in the middle of the pediment roof.
We also have a selection of pillars and columns that are required for the portico and if needed we even stock packer boxes, which are used to add additional height for the columns and pillars.
The Prior Canopies portico is suitable for both refurbished and new -build projects. It has the shelter qualities of a door canopy, but also adds a touch more style and statement to the entrance of the building it is been installed to. We have even supplied our portico to be used for the entrance of a summer house!
Due to the light weight GRP the portico is strong and durable, making installation very easy.
How to install our Portico Top
1. Mark required position of Portico Roof on the floor. 2. Place columns in correct position and draw around the bottom edges. 3. Make 2” x 2” timber frame to sit inside the column, position correctly on floor and screw down. Place the column over the timber frame. 4. Repeat at the top, using a rounded piece of block board or plywood. Screw this in position on the underside of the Portico ceiling. 5. Place the Portico roof on top of the columns. The block board or plywood should drop inside the hole at the top of the column. PLEASE NOTE:- The Portico top must be temporarily supported against the wall with battens or props until it has been securely fixed. 6. Fix the Portico top to the wall with plugs and screws. Temporary screws can now be removed. 7. Fit pillars, if required, to the wall. 8. Clean off any dirt or dust with a soft cloth. 9. Seal with silicone sealant where necessary.
N.B. If a light is to be fitted onto the ceiling, cable must be fitted before the Portico is fixed to the wall
