Back From The US of A
If you read this blog column regularly, you will have read several references by Martin of me going to Florida (as someone once said, “Jealousy is the tribute mediocrity pays to genius”). Why is it you never add up the cost of your holiday until you come back? I have worked out that for the cost of one return flight and the entrance tickets to the theme parks for one person I could have bought a bow window canopy, a Minster door canopy, an acrylic door canopy and several decorative shutters. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not regretting spending the money on the holiday, but I paid for the wife as well. She could have stayed at home and fitted the aforementioned canopy products while I was away. Ah well, there’s always next year. Anyway, must go and carry on telling Martin all about my fishing trips, visits to Universal Studios and Seaworld, fantastic meals, dolphin and manatee watching and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. Now, where are those 15 photo albums?
